  I love Dr. Nordyke and his nurses. However, his billing company and the people that he has working in the front office need to be retrained immediately. I have experience in medical billing and coding; so, when I call the office and tell them that I need to see the ledger for my children's dates of service, they argue with me. I know my insurance and the laws pertaining to medical billing of claims. When I finally received my children's ledger, I could not read 99% of it. However, I was able to make out a CO-29, which means that the office did not bill the claims to the appropriate office, and there was no insurance follow up, and this means that I am not liable for the charges associated with this denial...beyond my co-pay. (Which I have already paid). I have requested a new ledger multiple times; and, no one seems to want to provide me with this information. If you're going to see these providers, please make sure that you know the laws and your medical plan before going!! You are not responsible for a CO-29, timely filing denial. It is your responsibility as a patient (parent) to provide the office with your current insurance information; and, it is the responsibility of the billing company to make sure that your claims are processed. Now, they're trying to stick me with a bill that is not my responsibility to pay. This is against the law....and...if they send me to collections, I will be contacting an attorney.
